We’re back!

Welcome to the new and improved Dabbler!

Yes we’re up and running again – apologies for the interruption to your cultural nourishment during the last few days.

You’ll notice the site looks rather different. There will almost certainly be a few glitches that need ironing out. But the good news is that you can still find all your favourite Dabblers and the usual eclectic mix of articles, we’ve just updated the framework of the site to allow for some more cutting edge bloggery with extra bells and whistles.

As part of this space age relaunch you’ll also notice a new section called The Squabbler. The Squabbler is The Dabbler’s tearaway little brother: feistier, more argumentative and possibly more topical. It will take a short while to get going, but when it does it will be an outlet for the more instant, off-the-cuff kind of posting you’d normally associate with personal blogs. Meanwhile, the cultured, considered articles of The Dabbler will continue as usual.

Look out for some terrific new series and features we’ve been saving for the relaunch. We hope you like the new look, and if you don’t, well… tough!

Onwards and upwards!

Brit, Worm and Gaw.

Liking the blackbirds eggish green, thought that you had all contracted al bowlly and had been quarantined. Is it permissible, on the Squabbler, to disseminate GillWark without attracting the attention of Sky News.

Dizaster, firefox spellchecker doesn’t werk in the new shed.

Good to have you on board The Dabbler 2.0 Malty!

The Squabbler, when working, should allow you ample Gilliwark dissemination…

Hooray! Please be aware that what you see right now isn’t the finished product, we’re tinkering with it like fury behind the scenes.

Love the shades of green, don’t like the Logo though. Why not do away away the black and white circle, and move the ‘D’ closer to ‘abbbler’, as it should be and change the ‘D’ font to match the rest of the word, what is it Avant Garde ? Extend the overall length of THE, perhaps change it to Eurostyle, and leave it all black, or white and black. It don’t not work for me in its present format, I’m sorry to say. It’s my only criticism honest. Now I feel guilty. Or simply change it totally.

Also, not thrilled with the new publish-your-email feature.

Sorry David, don’t know why that happened.
Be sure to put your handle not email in the Name box, everyone.

It seems to have happened because my computer automatically sticks my email address into all three boxes, overwriting the label.

        Stupid computer.

Why has the Chaplin diorama used a 54 tooth straight cut gearwheel? Outrageous! we of the 54 tooth spiral bevel cut gear tooth sect demand an apology, in writing, plus a substantial amount of compensation.

Blatant straight cut toothism, I shall write to the BBC forthwith.
