Thanks to our friends at Picador, we’ve got no less than 24 great books to give away…
Picador reaches its 40th anniversary this year, and to mark it they’re reissuing 12 of their most celebrated novels in a very cool new black-and-white cover design (read more about it here).
We’ve got two full sets to give away, each worth just shy of £100: one to Dabbler Book Club members and one for the League of Dabblers.
The set is due for release on 2 February and the books included are:
The Sea by John Banville
The Savage Detective by Roberto Bolano
White Noise by Don DeLillo
Room by Emma Donaghue
American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis
Bridget Jones’s Diary by Helen Fielding
The Line of Beauty by Alan Hollinghurst
All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
Mother’s Milk by Edward St Aubyn
Last Orders by Graham Swift
Dirt Music by Tim Winton
As well as the spiffing new jacket, each book comes with a load of DVD-style ‘extras’, including contemporary reviews, author interviews and essay, original cover artwork and reading guides.
How to win a set
If you’re already a member of the Dabbler Book Club, you will be automatically entered into the draw and don’t need to anything. Otherwise just sign up below.
League of Dabblers members have a much greater chance of winning (almost 100 times greater at the current count!) – you can join here. The winners will be drawn at random on Monday 30 January 2012.

!!!! what a good prize !!!
If I win can I return Bridget Jones Diary for a swopper, or take it down the charity shop. If you insist that I read it can you supply one of those Glengoyne jobbies, to ease the pain.
I’ve read every book on that list and BJD is definitely not the worst, that honour falls fairly and squarely to the lovely bones, which is total rot about angels. The rest are all pretty good though, it’s a great prize
Worm, it ain’t the quality of the book, it’s the number of times that I have been banished to the shed / study / pub / hill / garden / operators end of the jetwash and Marksies with a list whilst the wimmen watch the movie with Rene bleedin’ wotsherface. Miffed, I am.
Wow… negativity exuding from the comments area!
This looks fantastic – I’ll keep my fingers crossed, this would be an amazing win. I wouldn’t be leaving my couch for a while…
