Lo! Precious reader, prithee grant us a moment to tear you away from The Dabbler’s bounteous teat, pouring forth its daily transudation of the cream of cultural confabulation. Did you know that there are other far flung outposts of the dabbleverse transmitting into the ether too? We need your help to expand these tiny principalities into the fully fledged nation states of wonderment we know they were born to be.
Twitter is another beast altogether, our Dabbler twitter feed not only has a live update of the latest devilishly good Dabbler posts, but also plenty of extra stuff too; a carefully curated stream of interesting stuff that we find all over the place, links, videos, reviews and great writing that we trawl up from the depths of the net in between our daily dabbling.
There’s also google+1. The more observant among you may have noticed that above each post a small button has appeared that looks like this
Google is launching a new social media aspect to its searches. Every time you click on a +1 button, your +1 could appear as part of an anonymous aggregated count of the people who have also clicked on the same button. This helps friends and contacts identify which content may be most useful to them when doing a google search, and helps The Dabbler in our search rankings. …using my advanced guessing techniques I would reckon that what that means is that you haven’t yet created a google+ account within your gmail account – should be up in the very top left hand corner of your gmail, or by clicking on your name in top right corner of gmail and looking in profile
