What a fine choice of alternative career. I can’t be the only one who likes to imagine that the TMS commentators are there all the time, and only go live when there’s actual cricket going on outside. And it’s one of the precious few remaining British jobs that is better done half tight: there ought to be more of those.
Norm’s a friend of Gideon Haigh, so you might have expressed that wish in a favourable place.
Here’s mine, from an earlier lifetime although I still stand by most of it. So that’s 3 and I’m sure, from the list of contribs, that there are more – yes (Googles) there’s Rosie Bell!
Now you mention it, James, that’s how I discovered Rosie.
Ah so there’s a few of us in the club then. Norm’s cheque for £10,000 came in handy, and I’m looking forward to the free Jag – assume yours are still running well?
Is he trying to fob you off with a Jag, Brit?
Sorry to rub it in chaps, but you really should have got Max Clifford to cut a deal with the good professor. Amateur negotiations never get you the full wonga, I’m afraid.
