Welcome to The Dabbler ‘alpha’!
Thank you to all those who joined us in our trial run over on Blogger – we hope you’ll be suitably pleased by the fully-fledged WordPress version. Don’t forget to update your RSS subscriptions, Google readers etc.
We have some new features and guests we’ve been saving up for the launch, plenty of exciting plans, but above all, much of the same old nonsense you’d expect if you’ve been following us on our other blogs.
There are bound to be a few technical teething problems. If you spot one, or find you can’t comment or some such, drop me an email at brit@thedabbler.co.uk and we’ll attempt, in our muddling, barely competent, faintly Luddite way, to fix it.
FIRST! haha
Very excited about the launch of the silken cravat of blogs
Congratulations!
However, I don’t like the layout as much as the previous version (alpha, beta, gamma, whatever). it looks like a Friday afternoon job. It’s making me feel quite ill. Especially that submit comment button….at least I think that’s what it says.
Thanks Ian. Hopefully you’ll get used to it once you know where to look.
Blogger doesn’t offer the functionality we need.
That Submit Comment button is horrible, isn’t it? There’s a few other things need fixing too, eg. you can’t read the time/date stamp on posts lower down the page.
It’s easiest if we save them up and fix these teething problems all in one go, so if there are any others, please let us know in the comments or email us.
I’ll get used to it.
